Four Things To Do With Your Sports Posters

Have you gathered yourself a sizeable collection of sports posters? Not quite sure what you want to do with them but don't want to get rid of such a fine collection? There are actually so many things you can do with posters other than piling them up in your closet or just sticking some of them on your wall. Here are a few things you can do with your poster collection.

• Frame the best ones – With such a vast collection, it's highly unlikely that you don't have a few great posters or even just a few favorites that you would like to have displayed. However, you might avoid displaying them for fear that they might be damaged by any glues, pastes or scotch tape that you will use to stick them up on walls. You can avoid this by framing your favorite posters and then hanging them wherever you want in your room, office or house. For the best ones, you can even get better frames if you like. At the very least, do not hide the best posters that you have lying around. Show them off to friends but keep them safe in a glass and frame.

• Trade some of them – Think you can let go of some of the posters in your collection? If you really want to get rid of them but don't want to sell them to just about anyone, you may want to consider trading them with other collectors. This ensures you that the posters you trade will be given the same care as you have given them. It's also a great way to get to know of other poster collectors in your neighborhood or even beyond. Make a few friends while trading posters and you will have more than you bargained for with the posters you collect.

• Sell them – There might be some posters that you have had for the longest time. In fact, some of them might even be downright valuable. Think you can let go of that rare Mickey Mantle hall of fame poster? It might actually be worth a few hundred bucks and if you are a good seller as you are a collector, it might even be worth more to someone else who adores the player. Go through your collection and do a little research about some of the posters that you own. See if they are of any monetary value to the collector's market and ask around if there is anybody who would be interested in making a purchase. You can also go through eBay and auction your poster with a fair starting price. Let the best bidder buy your poster and you will have enough money to continue collecting more posters.

• Pass them down – There may come a time in your life that your poster collection will no longer mean much to you. But there may be people in your family who have envied you for your collection. This is a great time to consider passing on your collection to someone else in the family. That person can continue your passion for collecting sports posters and maybe even grow it into something more valuable than you ever thought it to be.
